Working From Home

With more people working from home due to Coronavirus, there has been an increase in people presenting with spinal stiffness and pain.  This is due to a number of factors including different ergonomic set ups, poor posture, prolonged sitting times and reduced physical activity.

To assist with preventing any neck or middle to low back pain, please see the following tips:

Have a break every 45 minutes to an hour.

Monitor posture when working, ensuring no slumping or forward chin protrusion.

Ensure ergonomic set up permits good postural habits.

Go for a walk to help reduce stiffness.

If you feel you are practicing good habits in your home working environment but are still experiencing pain or stiffness, make an appointment with us for a thorough assessment and treatment to help with boosting well-being and productivity.
