TREADMILL GAIT ANALYSIS

At Mount Lawley Physiotherapy and Podiatry, we now have access to treadmill gait analysis for all patients. This is particularly handy for patients suffering from lower leg injuries, knee and hip pain, and chronic muscular pain. Treadmill gait analysis allows our physicians to diagnose your injury, assess biomechanical failures/deficiencies, formulate a treatment protocol and help with your rehabilitation. This allows you to return to full fitness quicker. Common conditions that gait analysis can help with include:

  • Forefoot pain – Morton’s Neuroma, bunions

  • Heel pain – heel spurs, plantar fasciitis

  • Ankle pain – osteoarthritis, posterior tibialis dysfunction, Achilles injuries

  • Leg pain – shin splints, knee pain, patellofemoral syndrome

  • Hip pain – bursitis, hip flexor tightness, glute dysfunction

Treadmill gait analysis can also help with footwear advice to ensure we can provide you with the best advice for shoes, including football boots, netball shoes, and running shoes.
