Orthotics: Support for Foot and Lower Limb Health

 Orthotics
Our feet are continuously adapting and changing shape, absorbing stress with every step we take. Prolonged or excessive stress can lead to altered foot mechanics, which may place undue strain on the joints, muscles, tendons, and other soft tissue structures of the lower limbs. This can result in discomfort, pain, and dysfunction not only in the feet but potentially in the knees, hips, and lower back.
Orthotics are custom-designed devices that provide support, realignment, and correction for a variety of foot and ankle conditions. They help prevent further deformity, alleviate pain, and improve mobility and overall function. In addition to addressing foot-specific issues, orthotics can play a key role in managing related conditions in the knees, hips, and back.
At Mount Lawley Physiotherapy and Podiatry, we utilise state-of-the-art 3D scanning technology, which allows our experienced podiatrists to accurately assess your foot position. This enables us to create custom-made orthotics tailored specifically to your needs and foot structure.

Custom Design for Comfort and Function
Our orthotics are designed with both functionality and comfort in mind. We offer a range of materials, widths, and lengths to ensure compatibility with various types of footwear, minimising any restrictions. Additionally, the top cover can be tailored to meet your specific requirements, providing the necessary support without compromising on comfort.
    Refurbishment and Health Fund Claims
If you already own orthotics and notice the top cover wearing down, we offer refurbishment services to restore them to their original condition, ensuring that they continue to provide the necessary support and function. Additionally, orthotics are often eligible for reimbursement through your health insurance, depending on your coverage level. We can provide the relevant item codes to assist you in determining your out-of-pocket costs.
